Med utgångspunkt i Maria Wine och Edith Södergrans biografier berättar och tolkar skådespelare Gunilla Rydholm deras liv och verk.
Vi får en inblick i poeternas livshistorier och dikter, samt följa deras resor från barndomen till bortgången. Marias över 30 publicerade diktsamlingar gjorde henne hyllad som poet och Ediths nyskapande verk gav en nästan mytisk bild av henne som person.
